Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, Assault® Brand Rodenticides are safe to use around pets because there is no pass-through poisoning, there is no secondary toxicity to harm a dog that may eat a poisoned rodent.

Assault® is a neurotoxin, which acts on the brain for a quick kill. Rodents that ingest an anticoagulant are killed by internal bleeding.

Starlicide Complete® is very effective in killing starlings and blackbirds. This slow-acting avicide allows for a continuous and higher volume kill, eliminating the avoidance problem associated with fast kill avicides. Starlicide is a restricted use pesticide and restricted to use by certified applicators.

We recommend rotating rodenticides to avoid bait shyness.

  1. First use Assault® Brand rodenticide for 60 days. This will provide the fastest and largest rat elimination.
  2. Next use Rat/Mouse Arrest II® for 30 to 60 days to kill Norway rats, roof rats and Warfarin-resistant rodents.
  3. Then use Rat Control, a specially formulated warfarin base rodenticide, for 30 days.

If necessary, the process may be repeated.

Assault® All Weather Bait will withstand wind, rain and snow. This product is protected by a paraffin base and is best used in shaded areas away from direct sun during the warmer months of the year.

Rat Control Pellets

An anticoagulant type rodenticide that kills Norway Rats, Roof Rats, and House Mice.

Benefit:

Contains specially processed Warfarin which kills Norway Rats, Roof Rats, and House Mice with no rat rejection.  Rodents die quietly.  Has a unique formulation which is highly palatable, the ingredients and production process overcome “bait shyness”.  Has over 90% greater acceptance than leading competitive baits.  Rats will eat enough bait to kill them.  The pelleted formulation has greater baiting efficiency and is easier to handle and use with less waste.  There is a size for every need, it comes in 1 and 5 lb. bags and a 50 lb. drum.

Use:

Place Rat Control Pellets in locations where rats and mice feed, water and/or travel.  Place pellets along walls, in corners and in concealed locations where rats and mice can feed unobserved.  Contaminated or spoiled pellets should be replaced promptly.  If a continuous source of infestation is present (nearby dumps), permanent bait stations should be established and the bait replenished as needed.
Rats - Use 4 to 16 ounces of Rat Control Pellets per placement.  Maintain supply of bait for at least ten days.  The number of placements will depend upon the size of the area tested, but should be approximately one every ten feet.
House Mice - Use tablespoon amounts of Rat Control Pellets placed at 8 to 12 foot intervals.  Maintain supply of bait for at least 15 days.
Rats/Mice - Replace contaminated or spoiled bait immediately.  Collect and dispose of all dead animals and leftover bait properly.  To prevent reinfestation, limit sources of rodent food, water, and harborage as much as possible.  If reinfestation does occur, repeat treatment.  Where a continuous source of infestation is present establish permanent bait stations and replenish bait as needed.
Read entire label and follow all directions and use precautions.
